"Nova Godina" Former Republic of Serbia and Montenegro Local Custom Tip by viddra

New Year's Day (Nova Godina) is 14 January, although the western New Year (1 January) is celebrated too.

People usually celebrate it at home, with family friends, or at some party. But more and more people celebrate New Year at main squares, listening to some concerts and watching the fireworks at midnight.
