Pic1/2/3 - Forget about seeing other temples or pagoda. Shwedagon is THE pagoda to visit in pagoda. Standing at 90m tall, it contains more than 60 tons of gold, 1800 carat of diamonds at its top. Surrounding the pagoda are numerous of smaller pagodas and prayer halls. One can easily spend the whole day here watching people, meditating etc...
Pic 4 - This pic was taken near the student monument at the southwestern corner of the compound. From this location one is far enough to see the full view of the pagoda.
Pic 5 - This photo was shown somewhere at the photo gallery near the northern part of the compound. It actually shows the orb right at the top of the pagoda. See the 76 carat diamond on at the top of orb!!!
