"Friendly staff, info for visitors" Cleveland Park Things to Do Tip by matcrazy1
Cleveland Park Things to Do: 34 reviews and 168 photos
I entered the Washington National Cathedral with a small leaflet which included maps and short explanations on places to see in the church. I got it at tourist information desk at Ronald Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, I guess.
If you don't have it go first to the cathedral visitor's information desk located at the west end of the nave. I asked the very friendly ladies worn in purple dresses about organ concerts in the cathedral but there were none that day. I've got to know that the Cathedral which welcomes nearly 700,000 visitors and worshipers annually has a staff of 200, as well as more than 1,100 volunteers. That large number of volunteers working for us, visitors in both the Smithsonian museums and the cathedral in Washington impressed me.
Well, you may read and ask about guided or audio tours at the visitor information desk (or follow the link below) or support the cathedral and become a member of the National Cathedral Association (NCA). I didn't do it. I signed cathedral's electronic guestbook put at the info desk. Well, whenever you visit the cathedral look for matcrazy1 to check what I had written, please (in English and Polish :-).
