Sarawak Museum, Kuching: 25 reviews and 53 photos
Housed in a fine colonial building dating back to 1888, the Sarawak Museum is a veritable haven for taxidermy enthusiasts.... here there is a quite impressive collection of the indigenous animals of Borneo, from orangutans to bearded pigs. Also featured are displays of ethnographic artifacts, including musical instruments, model boats, some scary masks and a life-size replica of a traditional Iban house.
Bottom-line: Recommended. Provides a good introduction to the culture of Sarawak, and on top of that it's FREE.
Directions: Just south of Padeng Merdeka
