The Nubian Museum is a great museum with artefacts displayed in order, from 4500BC, through Pharaonic age and Christian and Islamic time. There is also an exhibition of Nubian folk culture and another explaining the projects of moving great monuments as Abu Simbel and Philae when the Aswan Dam was constructed.
Entrance fee is 35 pounds (July 2005).
The museum is open between 9 am - 1pm and 5 - 9 pm.
