True Sake: "The first sake store opened outside of Japan" San Francisco Shopping Tip by RblWthACoz
San Francisco Shopping: 312 reviews and 491 photos
True Sake is a store dedicated only to...of course...sake. Beautifully designed and fairly well stocked, the store holds many different styles and kinds of sake for purchase in many different price ranges. They even have one bottle for $850 (so expensive because only 300 bottles are produced each year). Visually beautiful, but overwhelming for sake amateurs, it's a great place to go if you want to begin to travel the road that is sake. Being the first sake store in the United States, it's aim is to provide knowledge to those who desire it, and product that is not found in the United States.
What to buy: Sake
What to pay: anywhere from $12 to $850
Address: 560 Hayes Street
Directions: located in the Hayes Valley neighborhood, and about 6 blocks west of Van Ness Avenue at it's southern most point
