"Waterfalls galore" Iceland Favorite Tip by brazwhazz

Favorite thing: One of the first things we learned when travelling to Iceland is that this is a country of waterfalls. The most famous one is Gullfoss (part of the "Golden Circle" of tourist attractions in Iceland), but during our 10 days there we saw countless waterfalls of all shapes and sizes. Even though our tourist guide warned us we may get bored with the waterfalls before the end of the trip, there is something hypotizing about these wonders of nature. Iceland's waterfalls are certainly among our best memories of our time there.

The high number of waterfalls is due to the melting of the glaciers and the uneven terrain of the country.
