This humble memorial with the logo of the 7th Infantry Division marks the spot where US Forces commanded by Gen. Douglas MacArthur landed on 15 Sep 1950. North Korean forces had pushed US and South Korean defenders to a perimeter srrrounding the southern port city of Pusan. This bold attack weakened and isolated the North Korean Army and was a turning point in the early phases of the Korean Conflict. In just 14 days, MacArthur liberated Seoul. The last image is of Inchon Harbor with 2 junks, taken from Wolmido Island. The sunbeams were real.
