As is my wont on my travels, I tend to rise early, ever hopeful that the best light will bless me with its presence. Often I am tardy and miss the pre-dawn, as I was on this occasion but, with the gloom-ridden clouds overhead it made little difference. To be honest, on the entire trip I can't recall actually seeing the sun clearly rise above the horizon.
This day it was still raining, as it had been on and off during the night. I knew this because a small group of late night revellers across the street had kept me awake for some time around 2 a.m. in the morning.
I knew not which direction to take on my stroll, there being no-one around at the time to seek for advice so I chose the direction of the stream and found yet another delightful stone bridge, something I never tired of in Great Britain.
