At first we saw the top of St. Peter's tomb inside the basilica; then we figured out that we could actually walk downstairs through one of the gates on the side and be directly in front of the tomb. As we stood there, a group of Italian nuns and priests arrived. In perfect unison they started reciting the latin version of the Lord's prayer. All the sudden all camera flashes ceased and everybody present became very silent, listening in awe to the prayer. The energy was raised to an amazing level, and after the chanting finished, a hushed silence fell over the room. We definitely were in God's house......
