Zlata Koruna on the Vlatava in a Czech Nature Rese
by mlasov

Despite being a UNESCO site, Zlata Koruna is a located in a Czech nature reserve. The reserve is hilly and fairly well forested. The reserve also follows the twisting Vlatava river (the same river that goes through Prague). In all, there are some really great hikes to be had around here. We came from Divci Hrad, the ruin of an old castle, and ended up in Zlata Koruna by chance. We intended to hike on to Cesky Krumlov, but it was getting late and we were tired. From Divci Hrad it is quite easy to reach the spooky castle. It?s about a 10km hike through several tiny villages and light terrain.
