Monument Valley in black and white

Monument Valley was often used as a backdrop in the filming of Old Westerns. Even though I'm not a fan of this type of film, I have seen many of them being reprised on television -- probably like almost everyone else in the world. I'm sure there were even a few John Wayne movies shot in Monument Valley. As you wander around the landscape, it's easy to imagine that you are one of the characters in one of these Westerns.
Since most of these movies were shot in the 1940's and 1950's, during the heyday of cowboy and Indian chic in Hollywood, the vistas are usually portrayed in black and white. THerefore, we took a few black and white photos ourselves during our visit to seee if we could recapture the magic. How did we do?
