Charles Bridge Tower, Prague: 77 reviews and 156 photos
Probably the most beautiful of Prague's old city towers is the Bridge tower on the Old Town side. It was built in the 14/15th century according to plans of Peter Parler. The eastern facade is richly decorated with sculptures of saints, kings and emperor and coats-of-arms of Bohemian states.
Unfortunately the decoration of the western facade was lost in the bombardment of the Swedish troops in 1648.
The tower was restored 1874-79.
