Vendors At Chaweng Beach: "Beach Treats" Ko Samui Restaurant Tip by neurochic

Ko Samui Restaurants: 107 reviews and 104 photos

Ok while on Chaweng Beach you must find the vendor that sells corn on the cob and pineapples right off of her portable grill. I know this sounds simple but in my journeys what I have found is the most delicious food is that which is local. Basically she smothers the corn in liquid butter and then grills it to perfection and then salts it and places it on a stick for you to enjoy. I swear it is the juiciest and sweetest corn you ever tasted. And being a Midwestern girl it was a nice treat that reminded me of home. This same woman also will sell pineapple that she will cut right in front of you, slice into slices, and then she places it in a ziplock bag and gives you a toothpick to pick up the pieces. On the hot Thai days, the pineapple is the perfect refreshment. To make things even better, the corn and the pineapple will be roughly about $1.
