"Touts of Delhi and the Tourist Bureau" India Tourist Trap Tip by Waxbag

It would seem that most of the people in Delhi are touts ready to make a killing on any tourist. I know this sounds like a generalization, and perhaps unfair. But, we spoke with many Delhi-ites about this problem and they said we are right. The people here are looking for a quick rupee. What really upset my wife and me was getting taken advantage of by the government tourist bureau. These slick talking, arrogent, asses are just as bad. They don't listen to you, but try to sell you the most expensive package tour they can. We met many other travellers that fell victim to these guys. So just be careful in Delhi and know that you can do all your own arranging of tickets anywhere in the country.
