Day 2 : Hofburg area

If you have time, you should visit the Kaiserappartments in the Hofburg complex; in fact these Emperor apartments are located in the Reichskanzleitrakt and in the Amalienburg.

Here you can see where Franz Josef lived from 1857 till 1916, and where Empress Elisabeth (Sissy) lived from 1854 till 1898.

Of course you learn more on the life of Sissy, you can see a copy of the dress she wore at the ball given before her wedding, and there are beautiful paintings.

Up to me it was really worth to visit this museum.

Entrance fees (Imperial apartments + Sissy museum + Silver Collection):

Adults : 8,90 euro

Children (age 6 - 15) : 4,50 euro

Students (age 16 - 25) : 7 euro

Vienna Card : 7,50 euro

PS: sorry for the fuzzy pictures, as in fact it was forbidden to make pictures, . . . . sorry
