Vintgar Gorge is a short drive outside of Bled. From the parking lot, you walk past a small kiosk/restaurant and pay the nominal fee to enter. The walk is a very easy kilometer ortwo each way along the cliffs of the Gorge. In many places where the cliffs are too steep to provide space for the trail, wooden walkways have been constructed. These can be a little slippery when wet, so be careful. We walked the trail in October when the autumn foliage was at its peak. Very beautiful. At the end of the trail is another small kiosk that wasn't open when we were there. Don't miss the waterfall at the end. Walk down behind the kiosk to a small bridge, cross it and continue along the bank of the river for a view of the falls.
