Strolling along the River Itchens is a great way to see the eastern parts of Winchester. Called the Weirs Walk it provides some beautiful vistas. Simply go to Bridge Street, and turn south by the City Mill. This is still a working water mill, where flour milling demonstrations are given. From there, follow the river.

Along the way, one can still see what's left of Winchester's ancient Roman wall. It's on the right as you head south along the river.

Directions: South of the City Mill.
