  Dung to be Recycled
by Waxbag

Speaking of recycling; you may wonder, after you get over the fact that there are large numbers of bovines roaming India?s metropolitan centers, where is all the cow dung? Now the fresh cow muffins are still there waiting for the foot of a day dreaming tourists to slide through. But they don?t last long on the ground as manure collectors pick up the mess after the cows. They collect the dung, press it into discs, and then let it dry in the sun. These hard dung discs are then sold as cooking and heating fuel. You can see whole sections of sidewalks and walls filled with these discs baking in the sun. It?s a great way to recycle and conserve energy if you are willing to scoop up poo.
