This huge cathedral looks great inside & outside
Its construction started in 1344 to be completed early in the 20th century. The main architects were Matthias Atrecht & Peter Parler.
The belltower is built in renaissance style while the interior is mostly gothic.
Inside the Wenceslas chapel and his grave, but also the crypt with the royal tombs, the painted windows, the choir, the St John chapel and the wooden craftswork are definitely worth the look through 1000 years of history.
The golden gate used to be the main entrance, now replace by the Western gate where the round painted window represents the biblic creation story.
