Another landmark at the Old Town square is the town hall. Its oldest parts date from the 11th century, the main building was erected in the 14th/15th centuries.

I joined a tour of the town hall - very interesting and highly recommended. Guided tours are offered about every hour in German and English. You can see the fascinating chapel with the oriel window (which you can see from outside) and a couple of old halls from different centuries. Particularly interesting for me were the VERY old cellars, dating back to the 13th century. There you can also see some sculptures. Admission fee was 50 Kc.

I missed to climb on top of the tower (another 50 Kc) due to lack of time and bad weather.
