Goettingen has a number of public pools in different areas of the city. One of them - an open air pool - is situated in the Kiessee area, in the southern part of town. This is is a sports and recreation area and features a lot of possibilities for leisure activities. Only 200 m from the entrance of the "Freibad am Brauweg" pool there is also a second, much more modern pool which claims to be a "bathing paradise" (Badeparadies). For most part it is roofed-over and hence is a good place to enjoy in winter times. But in summer.... the old pool at the Brauweg is my favorite. Find a lot more photos using the links provided.
