Al Bicerin: "Sip Your Coffee in a Historic Cafe" Top 5 Page for this destination Torino Restaurant Tip by Jetgirly

Torino Restaurants: 97 reviews and 69 photos

Al Bicerin is a tiny gem of a cafe located in Piazza della Consolata, just a few minutes north of Via Garibaldi. The cafe is small and tables are packed close, and on Sunday afternoon you should be prepared to queue, but that is all part of the charm. Inside the wooden walls are lined with antique mirrors, and the staff serve up delicious bicerin (espresso, hot chocolate and thick cream) along with sweet treats like cake and tortes. Bicerin is THE typical Torinese drink!

This was one of the most popular meeting places for the men who organized the Risorgamente that united Italy, and you can really feel the history around you. There is a small shop beside the cafe that sells typical sweets, jams and spreads from the surrounding region. Great gifts to bring home!
