The Academy of Natural Science was founded in 1812 and is on the cutting edge of species documentation. The study interprets how they interact with the environment and how to preserve and restore healthy ecosystems.
Dinosaur Hall is something you shouldn't miss--you can see a T-rex or Gigantasaurus and other scary beasts. After this, visit the area featuring dioramas where animals are shown in their natural habitat .
There are three areas of emphasis: the museum, education opportunities and ongoing research. The museum is opened Mon.-Fri. 10 am-4:30 pm; on the weekends and holidays 10 am-5 pm. Admission is $10 for adults; $8.25 for seniors and the military; $8 for children 3-12 and it's free for those under 3 years of age. With a college ID $1 is discounted from the admission fee.
