Catalina Bar & Grill: "Live Jazz like the old times" Los Angeles Restaurant Tip by raraavis

This is a more of a jazz venue than a restaurant. Various local jazz bands perform live each night. The club/restaurant is located on the first floor of a high-rise building. Unless you knew about it, you wouldn't know there's a venue there. I can't comment on dinner since I didn't eat there. From the menu, food and drinks are on the expensive side. A bottled beer costs $6.50. I am way more satisfied with the music. Not so hot on the service of staff.
However, the club does have a nice ambience, a nice laid-back crowd of audience. I saw a couple dancing next to their table.
For shows, you pay the performance charge (varies by artist) and two drinks minimum or dinner.
