Pasar is a local terminology for Market. In other words, this place is called Ole Ole Market.
Pasar Ole Ole is around 15-20 mts ride in a shuttle bus from the Nirwana Hotel Resort. The return ticket is S$4/- per person (age 4 and above). Pasar Ole Ole is located outside the Bintan Resort Area and is a welcome change from the cosmo atmosphere of the resorts. Here, things are cheap and there is also a supermarket. Many souvenir shops are located here. Do your bit of bargaining before settling down for the final price. Indonesian handicraft items are readily available in many shops and are worth having a look at. There are a few restaurants here and we tried our lunch at Café Helo Helo. The serving quantity was very good, the price was much less than any of the restaurants in the Bintan Resort Area.
There is a Hawker centre, mainly catering to local people located just behind Pasar Ole Ole The food served over there is very very cheap and it is 100 percent Indonesian food.
