When you book at the 1905 Basin Park Hotel, you are give specific Arrival Procedures which that before you park, you should pull in to the yello loading zone curb; hold car at curb and go inside the lobby to register, return to car and unload with optional use of bell staff, tak luggage to guest room [you have 10 minutes at the loading zone], return to car and proceed to parking are or follow shuttle van who brings you back to hotel.

Their parking is free [an added bonus]; their location is outstanding [busy Spring Street]; their accommodations are unique; and they offer 3 places to eat.

However, I was disappointed in the places to eat and the "shabby" look of some of the public places in the hotel. The Balcony Restaurant was especially dingy and almost to the point of being dirty. But, you are able to view the activity on the historic downtown. The Eureka Coffee Company and Cafe provides Starbucks Coffee or specialty drinks such as Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha, Espresso, Macchiato, Americano, and Fruit Smoothies. They also sell fresh-baked pastries, bagel-n-lox, and biscuits-n-gravy.

Unique Qualities: The hotel also has Spa services at Serenity Spa. They have full body massages, Hote Stone massages, Exfoliating Body Wraps, mini or full facials.

All room in the hotel offer free parking, turndown service, Crescent pool, Holiday Island Golf, Tennis and Pool, and the New Moon Spa reciprocal privileges.

They have Jacuzzi suites, which couples seem to enjoy. There is a Sunroom Suite with a king bedrrom, parlor, wet bar and Jacuzzi tub in the room. It serves as the hotel's honeymoon suite and has a wonderful view.

The Spa Suite is for people don't want to leave the hotel, but prefer to experience total relaxation and pampering of the suite, the pool, sun deck, and therapies of the Serenity Spa.

My favorite is the JOE PARKHILL SUITE in memory of Parkhill who ran the property from 1940-1955 and brought in "such guests as pretty Boy Floyd, Miss Capone " and other notorious characters. The suite has SLOT MACHINES, a featherbed, Whirlpool tub, and a balcony overlooking the lobby.

Other available rooms are: Standar Jacuzzi, Superior King, King Room, and Double Room.

I think that the outside architecture of the Basin Hotel is the most beautiful in all of Eureka Springs. I just wish they would maintain the public areas more.
