DUPONT CIRCLE Area, Washington D.C.: 11 reviews and 12 photos

  Dupont Circle at night.
by mattreider

When you come up out of the Dupont Circle Metro, you've travelled pretty far. Restauranteurs from all corners of the globe have setup shop in old brick rowhouses to ply their trades. Where else but in DC do the scents of Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Russian, French and Italian foods compete with American staples such as McDonalds and Dominoes pizza?

During the day, Dupont Circle is a meeting place for various rallys and for just sitting around on a nice day.

Dupont is also known as a gay-friendly part of town, where everyone is welcome to go out and have a good time. Couple that with the million-dollar condos that every Congressional Representative must have, and you've got quite the eclectic mix that makes D.C. popular among the locals.

Dress Code: Pretty regular American attire -- but slightly dressed up to impress the members of the opposite sex.

Address: Dupont Circle Metro
Theme: Eating and Drinking
