Favorite thing: The promontory of Monte Conero protects the bay from southerly winds. The city of Ancona is situated on the slopes of two hills, parts of Monte Conero. The top of Monte Astagno is occupied by the citadel, while on top of Monte Guasco (100 meters) stands the Cathedral.
