Perth Off The Beaten Path: 234 reviews and 406 photos

Wireless Hill Park is rich in native flora and in spring you will see a good amount of red and green kangaroo paws as well as some cat’s paws. You may also see some Greenhoods, Donkey and spider orchids. The area was originally reserved for the use of the OTC as a buffer around a radio transmission aerial but in 1969 the City of Melville termed it an A class reserve.

On top of Wireless Hill is the Telecommunications Museum with its collection still housed it the original building dating back to 1912. It was the site of the very first communications radio in WA. Equipment dating back to the time of the earliest radio technology is display along with some of the developments which are still current today. You can see the first radio made in WA.

Location : Off Canning Highway, Ardross.
