  Magnificant location of Stirling Castle

Visible for miles in every direction, the fortress of Stirling is perched high on a precipice of volcanic rock. It seems to be a good overlook for north to the Highlands, south to the Lowlands, west to the islands and east to Edinburgh. After the battle of Brannockburn, Robert the Bruce ordered destruction of many castles, Stirling Castle included. One of the most fascinating attractions in Scotland, Stirling has been under reconstruction for the past 35 years.

This castle used to be free entry, but now it is around ten pounds. When i used to return to Scotland every two years Dad always insisted on visiting here.
