The Lichtburg (=Castle of Light) is Germany's biggest movie hall. 1302 people can find a seat there, it has a balcony, red seats and all in all it's rather a theatre than what is commonly understood as a cinema.
It is BEAUTIFUL.
It's old (1928).
And it is under monumental protection.
Apart from that they have an additional little cinema in the cellar, the Atelier, which is nice, but pretty much worn out (lack of money...), they have this bar and they use the screen room for plays, concerts and cabaret from time to time.
Dress Code:
Though it looks like a theatre, you don't have to dress up to enjoy the Lichtburg. Basically it's just your normal cinema - with a slightly special outfit.
200 metres from the main station, beside the Burgplatz (where the Münster church is). You can hardly miss it...
