Though I never did work out the system for the trams and buses, they do seem to be easy enough to use - if you know what number bus or tram will take you to where you want to go then they have a stop list inside which tells you where you are and what the next stops are going to be.
The tram and bus system takes you everywhere that the metro doesn't cover and, like the metro, is modern, clean, safe and efficient.
There is also a night bus service which is useful for getting back into the city if you are out late.
