Prague Metro is pretty much idiot -proof. There are only 3 lines which form a starfish shape allowing cross city transit and out to the suburbs. The lines cross at Mustek and Muzeum in the city centre (either end of Wenceslas square).

The metro is modern, clean and efficient - trains run roughly every 6 mins during day and every 10 mins early morning and evenings. It is quite busy all the time, but perfectly safe, with a high profile police presence.

The most useful thing I found about it was that anytime I got lost when wandering around I just found the nearest metro station and got back to where I wanted to be.
