Garden Island lies just off Point Peron in Mangles Bay. The access to the island is only by private boat and only two thirds of the island is available to the public but this encompasses beautiful beaches and bays suitable for swimming, fishing, picnics, surfing and sailing. You might also see on the island the native Tammar which is a small species of wallaby which lives on Garden Island. Other than by boat, the only other way onto Garden Island is via the 4 km Causeway which joins the mainland to the island and can be accessed from Point Peron Road. Unfortunately this access is only available to Navy personnel.

Address: 46km south of Perth
