TIP#1 Ask that your room face the back of the hotel. Rooms in the front face a very busy road and tend to be noisy.

Hotel Santa Cruz was elegantly appointed and a pleasant place in which to spend a weekend. The vibrant color washed walls and glass elevator created a very nice impression when we entered the lobby. We booked a wine tour right from the hotel--a guide came to accompany us.

Our meals here were absolutely wonderful--the service excellent! Indoor dining was offered, but we preferred having our meals outside beneath the vine covered arbor.

The swimming area was lovely with lounges surrounding the lagoon style pool. Waiters brought drinks to your chaise or one could float over to the bar at one end of the pool. Our visit here was one of total relaxation!

Around the corner from this hotel is a noteworthy musem. When staying at the Hotel Santa Cruz, there is no charge to visit the museum. See my TIPS for more on this.

Unique Qualities: Romantic getaway, yet great for children, also.
