  The front of Notre-Dame
by Airpunk

The Notre-Dame cathedral was built between the 12th and 16th century. The dominant style is flamboyant gothic, but some other styles are also to be seen. The filigrane front , facing to the Place de la Cathedrale, is a realy masterpiece of flamboyant gothic art. The church was almost completely destroyed during the second world war, but was reconstructed.

For a detailled visit, you should take around two hours. The huge church has many details to explore, especially the various chapels in the choir, both towers, the tomb of Richard Lionheart, the statues, the stained galss windows and many more...

Directions: Place de la Cathedrale, in the heart of the pedestrain zone near the "Palace de la Justice". If you come from the river Seine, take the Rue Grd Pont.
