Mala strana, or lesser town, is a wonderful part of Prague, full of stunning architecture and lovely cobbled streets. We were lucky enough to stay in this area and just walking around it was a great experience. Talk time to soak up the sights and sounds and pay attention to the detail on some of the buildings. I loved the street lamps, something which you see in many Eastern European cities.

The area is home to some wonderful art galleries, restaurants and pubs. We bought four paintings in the first gallery we went into and then bought some lovely Czech designed cups in the next gallery!!! Be warned, the galleries here can put a serious dent in your finances!!!

Directions: Between the castle and Charles Bridge.
