  Wildcamping, Zambezi
by Rusket

We stayed two nights on islands in the river, hearing the sounds from arguing baboons, hippos, hyenas and other animals. The first night was gorgeous! The moonlight was so strong, we did not need our flashlifgts. The second night the moon rose later, which gave us a great opportunity to watch the stars. Orion was right above us, and since there were no disturbing lightsources, we could see a lot more stars than we are used to. We even saw a couple of passing satllites.

The only negative thing was the hords of moscitos, which made us go to bed early. The first night we slept 10 hours, but the second morning we were woken up early by "millions" of buzzing bees!

Remember to bring a spade and toilet paper when going wildcamping, we were not allowed to "do it" in the open without burying it, that could attract animals! And it isn't nice to be the next group of people coming, either!!
