This church was originally built for the German merchants on Gotland in 1225. Its babtismal font is also the largest in Gotland and dates back to 1572. Because of this the church is a popular place for parents to bring their children to be baptised. There were many parents there on the day we visited. The building is extremely well preserved both inside and out. If you go be sure to check out the graves in the floor. They're kind of creepy! I especially liked the gargoyles that adorn the outside of the church and the church's stained glass windows, which depict scenes from the island.

Directions: On the tallest hill in Visby.
