Main Camping area, Mungo: "Camping at Mungo National Park" Top 5 Page for this destination Mildura Hotel Tip by Kate-Me

At Mungo National Park, camping is only allowed in the designated areas, of which there are two, Main Camp, (where camp fires are permitted) just a few kms past the Lodge and entrance to the park, and one other, many more kms distant and more isolated, but where campfires are strictly forbidden.
Price for bush camping (with a water tank and primitive bush toilets) was about $3 per person per night, plus the day visitor entry fee to the park (of about $11).
Unique Qualities: Our campsite was located just far enough away from other tents and camper trailers so as not to be crowded. I guess there would have been about 15 other vehicles at the campsite.
Comparison: least expensive
Directions: 100 kms north east of Mildura, via Wentworth.
Price: less than US$20
