"Very nice hotel outside the center" Holiday Inn Aachen Tip by rsilva

During our stay in Aachen, I decided to go for this hotel as Holiday Inn mainly because hotels in the center were really expensive and since we had a car it was not a big problem to drive in to the city.

In the end we were very happy with our choice. I had made a reservation for 2 people, but I then found out my father was coming to visit me, but since I had already arranged the trip, I thought the best thing would be him coming with us, so I called the hotel asking for a 3-person room. The person just said it was not necessary as she would put me in a room with 2 double beds for the same price, which was nice!

You really can't walk to the center from the hotel, but there is a bus stop very close and it only takes about 15 minutes to get to the center. By car it is a bit faster (about 10 minutes), but then you will have to pay for parking (about 15 Eur per day). In any case, it is cheaper to get a room here and pay for parking than getting a room at the center.

What I really liked about this place was the service. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Our (many) requests for information were fulfilled with a smile.

The rooms were also very nicely decorated (see picture)

Now for the complaints: There is actually only one, the bed covers were not large enough for 2 people (they are smaller than the width of the bed), so make sure you ask for a second one before going to sleep.

Having paid 46 Eur for a Friday and 56 for a Saturday (including free parking), I think it was a good deal.
