Cambridge Things to Do: 90 reviews and 176 photos

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is one of the world's premiere institutions of higher learning in the area of science and technology. MIT first admitted students in 1865 as a reaction to the increasing industrialization of the United States and even today part of the school's mission involves its relevance to the practical world.

On my first visit to Cambridge in May of 2002, I didn't have time to visit the MIT campus, but in September of 2005, I took a stroll through. I got stuck in some squares in which the only way out was to go into the buildings, so it was fun exploring like a mouse in a science experiment. Who knows? With all the science going on here, maybe I WAS an experiment! Some brilliant student in a lab was probably watching me on a closed circuit TV and taking notes!! Hope I passed the test!
