"Sorrento" Italy Things to Do Tip by Willettsworld
Italy Things to Do: 1,470 reviews and 2,257 photos
Sorrento lies of the northern coast of the Sorrentina Peninsula - a headland that forms the southern part of the Bay of Naples. From here round to the southern coast is known as the Amalfi Coast - a beautful stretch of rocky coastline that takes in the towns of Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Atrani.
Sorrento itself is divided into two parts: the first being the area around Corso Italia and Piazza Tasso, which includes the towns cathedral, up on the cliff; the second being the area around the marina along the coast where you can catch a boat to the island of Capri (which is what I did) or to other towns along the Amalfi Coast.
