"Go to the beach below Sea..." Sea Grove Park and the beach in Del Mar Tip by mercuryfx

Favorite thing: Go to the beach below Sea Grove Park (at the end of 15th street.) Nice waves, tide pool a little further south. Showers are very convenient for washing off the sand.

Also, there is a very nice shopping area right on 15th and El Camino Del Mar (101). Lots of excellent shops and things to look at there.

The only downer is the commuter train. The horn is way too loud and it goes right through the best part of town--at all hours of the night waking everyone up. They should move the tracks further east or underground! Boo to the trains!

Fondest memory: I used to live there so I have many good memories. I guess the greatest feeling there is peace. It's like the Hawaii of California to me. It's a very rich and well landscaped area. The shops and other accomodations, as well as the architecture are upper class which reflects in the cost of living there.
