Cafe & Restaurant Slavia: "decent and very reasonable" Slavia Tip by jil_coleslaw
Slavia, Prague: 24 reviews and 29 photos
This decent restaurant is the most famous of Prague's old cafes with Art Deco decoration. It is just located opposited at the National Theatre (Narodni divadlo).
As there is no discrimination of smoking or non-smoking area in the public place, many restaurants in Prague (or even in Europe) are free-smoking.
Some tables are overlooking the river. But reservation is recommended for dinner. Good place to have proper meal or a cup of coffee with friends or alone.
As the service charge is not included in the bill, some tips are deserved for the service (around 10%)
Favorite Dish: Starter: Choice of Czech cheese with wulnut = 109kc
Main Course: Baked duck (more than a quater) with old Czech styled sour red cabbage, potato dumplings with onion = 175kc
Wine: Frankovka 0.25L red wine = 54kc
I was too greedy to order the cheese plater (with a basket of bread) and the main dish was not small. I finished all dishes by myself. I found the waiter was quite impressed that I was so starving and finished all.
Address: Narodni trida 1
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: just a street across with the National Theatre next to the river.
Phone: 224 220 957
