"The actual house is right next to it" Anne Frank House Tip by leplaya

Anne Frank House, Amsterdam: 243 reviews and 259 photos

I was confused several times by how modern the AnneFrankhuis looks, until I realized that the enterance actually goes to a building that is next to the actual AnneFrankhuis. If you are looking from the outside, it's one house to the left (with a little sign on the front). You may see many people (like myself) taking a picture of the enterance instead of the actual house.
As for the museum, it is a nice, yet small historical place. It's not so much what is in it, as what it stands for.

Taking photographs inside the museum is not allowed.

Also, the lines may look long, but they actually move pretty fast (at least that was my experience).
