M1 Motorway from/to Western Hungary (Austria)Pre-purchased sticker is needed (9-day sticker, valid for M3 as well HUF1,400 as of April 2001).
Ferihegy 2A+2B airport w/ MALEV and a number of foreign airlines connecting the city w/ 60+ cities.
M3 Motorway from/to Eastern Hungary (Ukraine, Romania)pre-purchased sticker needed(see above).
M5 Motorway from/to South-Eastern Hungary (Romania, Yugoslavia) toll-booths, fee cca. HUF2,300 for one way.
M7 Motorway from/to South-Western Hungary (Lake Balaton, Croatia, Slovenia) - free of charge yet.
You can get a 3-day tourist card, valid for all kinds of public transportation. You can also buy blocks of tickets that you need to validate once you enter the Metro or get on a bus/trolley/tram. Ticket inspectors may be around and then you need to show your promptly validated tkt/pass.
