You will see a lot of old obsolete fighter aircrafts, occassionally a train passing near the museum, and automobiles in the evening spraying insecticides to kill the "bloody" mosquitoes.

Situated near the main thoroughfare, Shara-e-Faisal, therefore the base itself is called Shah Faisal Base. In addition to displaying airplanes in the open air, there is also a hanger which houses antique airplanes as well as armaments, engines, paintings, sheilds, etc. There is also a play area for kids, where they can enjoy various amusement rides.

Highlight of the museum (insdie the hanger) is an old Vikor plane in which Pakistan's founding father, M.A. Jinnah, took his last journey to Karachi on Sept 11, 1948.
