"Reliefs" Temple of Abu Simbel Things to Do Tip by MalenaN

On the walls inside the temple are fascinating relieves (unfortunately it is strictly forbidden to take photos inside so this photo is taken just outside the entrance). As you enter you will have the Battle of Kadesh (1275 BC) on the wall to your right. It is a very detailed relief with over 1100 figures. Pharaoh Ramses can be seen in different battle scenes. One famous is when he in his chariot is chasing fleeing enemies, shooting arrows at them. Also the camp of the Egyptian army is depicted.
In the vestibule the walls are decorated with scenes showing Ramses and Nefertari in front of Amun and Re-Harakhte.
